“Lunatic’s Voyage” reflects the thinking of the obscure boundary of the madness and the rationality from Michelle Foucault through arranging a strange Voyage. Foucault believes there is an ambiguous boundary between rationality and madness. The rational world scared madness, refused lunatics, moreover marginalize and lock up lunatics. “The Fool of the ship” and “the Tower of madness” turned into a symbol of how the rational world treated the mad world. However, it is ironic that what rationality treats to madness formed a new kind of madness.

《疯人的出航》通过安排一次奇怪的航行，回应了米歇尔·福柯对疯癫与理性模糊界限的思考。福柯认为理性和疯狂之间存在着模糊的界限。理性世界害怕疯狂，拒绝，进而排斥和监禁疯人。‘愚人船 ’和‘疯人塔’成为理性世界对待疯癫世界的象征。然而，具有讽刺意味的是，理性对待疯癫的方式却形成了一种新的疯癫。
