Hunting is a fundamental mechanism in ecosystems through which organisms obtain energy and resources. From the earliest cave paintings and artifacts, we find numerous depictions of hunting scenes. Beyond requiring courage, strength, and strategy, hunting fostered human cooperation and communication, shaping specific cultural beliefs and values. As a means of survival, hunting also drove adaptive evolution, niche competition, and the dynamic balance of the food chain. For instance, certain animals evolved unique physiological traits and behavioral strategies during the process of hunting to enhance their success rates in both hunting and evading predators.
In Dafu’s works, recurring elements such as molds, tracks, and wooden crates—objects seemingly associated with the production and transpor- tation of artwork—become conduits for exploring concepts of replication, shipping, passage, boundaries, and fortifications. These materials provoke multifaceted reflections on topics such as nature, society, culture, history, and nationhood.
In this exhibition, the artist does not narrate the impact of hunting on human civilization in a straightforward, textbook-like manner. Instead, a unique, personalized narrative logic emerges, presenting the theme from a playful and humorous perspective, expanding the viewer's under- standing of hunting in a richly layered and multidimensional way.

狩猎是生态系统中生物获取能量和资源的一种途径。从人类最早的洞穴壁画与器物中可以看到诸多描绘狩猎场景的内容。除了需要勇气、体力与计谋，狩猎活动催生了人类的合作与交流，形成了特定的文化信仰和价值观念。同时，狩猎作为维持生存的手段之外，还推动了物种的适应性进化、生态位的竞争以及食物链的动态平衡。例如，某些动物在狩猎过程中逐渐进化出了独特的生理特征和行为策略，以提高狩猎和防御天敌的成功率。
在颜达夫的作品中，我们常能看到翻制的模具，轨道，木箱等好像是作品制作和运输过程中会出现的东西。基于这些材料元素，进而思绪延伸至复制，航运，通行，边界以及防御工事等等的概念，从而对自然，社会，文化，历史，国家等话题引发了多角度的思考。
在本次展览中，艺术家并没有单一地如历史书一般平铺直叙地陈述狩猎对人类文明史的影响，而是呈现了一种独特的个人化叙事语言逻辑，从有趣而诙谐的视角切入来拓展对狩猎这个主题的多重理解。
