Bird On The Wire

This installation is my interpretation of the idiom "a bird startled by the bow of a bowstring" to discuss the "consistency between civilization and violence". Music is a system in which information is generated under specific combination conditions and makes us feel positive and comfortable. Interpreting music according to the rules of music performance is the basic method of music, which makes people convinced of this system.
However, the question of the classical law of musical play makes me wish to destroy the edifice at its root——When the information from the score is presented simultaneously at once, it becomes a noise like an explosion of information. The stargazer receives all the notes from the harmony music in a very short time. This short and powerful noise, coupled with the synchronization of the bright light throughout the 'score'. Grace and melody become powerful and out of control. In short, a string can be either a musical instrument (the string) or a killer (the bowstring).
惊弓之鸟

这件装置作品是我运用对成语“惊弓之鸟”的解读来探讨‘文明与暴力的一致性问题’。 音乐是信息在特定组合条件下生成，并且使我们感受到积极与舒适的一种系统，依循乐谱演奏的法则解读乐曲是音乐的基本方法，这使人对这种系统确信不疑。
然而，对循谱奏曲的经典法则的质疑促使我希望从根源上瓦解这座大厦——当乐谱的信息在一瞬间被同时给出时，就会成为尤如信息爆炸般的噪音。以惊鸟作为观测者在极短的时间内(同时)接受来自‘和乐’的全部音符。这短促而强力的噪音，搭配同步发出的强光贯穿了整个‘乐谱’。优美与悦耳成为强力与失控。总而言之，弦既能成为乐器(琴弦)，亦能称为杀器(弓弦)。
